         Raam- ja hankelepingud võidakse sõlmida kestusega kuni 48 kuud ning põhjendatud juhtudel, kooskõlas riigihangete seadusega, ka pikemaks perioodiks.

         Hanked võivad olla teostatud üksnes SMIT-i poolt hankijana või ühishangetena. Viimasel juhul võivad ühishankijatena olla kaasatud ka Siseministeeriumi valitsemisala välised riigiasutused.
